> Satio downloading problem
Bookmark topic
Hi.
I have an annoying problem with downloading files and using Youtube on my Satio. When I want to download any file (using preinstalled browser) larger than just a few megabytes the download pauses or freezes. The same thing happens when I try to use any other browser like Opera. To be exact - it is impossible to download files.
Besides that I got a problem with watching Youtube movie clips. When it buffers the video the downloading stops at some point and doesn't go further. There is no problem using Youtube when using WI-Fi. I think these two issues are somehow connected and phone related. One the other hand for example internet radio works flawlessly when using 3G/HSPA network.
So does anyone here facing the same problem or is it just me? Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks

I'm having exactly the same problem but only with Opera. The native browser handles files of any size but Opera freezes every time at 3.9 mb. Anyone got any ideas?

I found the solution for my problem. The problem was a Proxy server in the internet profile. I just deleted proxy's IP in internet profile settings and now everything works perfectly. It seems this problem is operator dependent. It even works in Opera Mobile.
Hammera, take a look at your settings.

Settings -Connectivity -Destinations -Select the Access Point you want -Options -Edit -Options -Advanced Settings -Proxy server address and clear it, should change to 0, and Proxy port number will say none.
Had a similar problem on my Voda branded 5800xm.

i think the problem is in the network not on the phone, or maybe your location is just too far from the tower or your in a closed area, when downloading always find a open area since our mobile phone is signal depedent, i always experience that problem but im not using satio.

Unfortunately my problem isn't a connection settings problem. I've done a bit more playing about and found that if I download to the phone memory or to the root of my memory card everything works fine but if I try to save to any folder on the memory card the download stops at 3.9Mb.
Could some kind soul please try to download a file (bigger than 3.9mb obviously) to a folder on their memory card and confirm that this is a problem with my phone and not an Opera bug.
Cheers

@hammera
is that so,may i know what version of opera do used? try other version of opera, the mini version 4.2, operamini 5, or other browser apps like UCweb or Bolt,so you can determin if it really satio's or just the application browser problem.

Downloading works fine with the default browser as does file transfer on my home network over wifi. The problem just seems to be with Opera (Mobile 10, build 499).

i see so it means the browser is the problem not the satio, i cant recall if i used opera mobile 10 in downloading, but i used opera mini version instead of opera mobile and i can download 100mb avi file
