Guys.
I think even if you/we are able to achieve some kind of
satisfactory state of X2 usability
You'll agree those problems are beyond acceptance.
We have a flagship device
600 Euro high end device
With
basic operation problems and failures
widely confirmed by 99% of users.
Here, Esato and SE official Blog.
Today I called SE.
Guys I don't think we can just leave it this way.
This is extremely rude and incompetent behaviour.
I've already sent info to WMPoweruser
and they published that.
Guys, please let's discuss that.
I absolutely don't accept the fact that
I have to rip off half of the device to make it work!!!

I sent an e-mail to directly to Aaron @ Sony Ericsson yesterday evening, and I'm awaiting for his reply. Basically i expressed him my concern about the software/Os quality of the X2, and that the stability in the phone and speed has to be prioritized in whatever they are fixing for it. I pointed out that the phone should be a business-phone, and that it's not worth shit at this moment..
In the end of my e-mail i also expressed my whishes to get Sony Ericsson to start a community-driven projects to get Android to the X2 (and X1). Today i was poking around on X10 that runs Android, and it was quick as hell (compared to the X2!). I myself got enough of windows mobile because of it's stupid limitations, and Android could be something with a future where the community develops apps and gadgets for this platform..

Well lets hope Aaron is more helpful than SE customer service support.
Read post 14 to see why.

Thank you, very nice.
Great you wrote to him!
-------
As for Android - well, I'm not iterested at all.
No way for me.
---------
I called the MAIN sony Ericsson Service in Poland today
and talked to a very nice and competent man
He has
weekly videoconferences with
regarding service and technical issues
So - he noted everything he said
he will pass this further/higher!
I told him all the "truth" regarding this device
and also that in the end I want
to be rather a happy
customer
than a pitbull fighting with the company.
The problem is I don't really see any alternative for X2.

This, sadly, is what happens when a company with limited resources tries to be a 'Jack of all trades', the results will always be catastrophic!
How do you maintain Symbian, Android and Windows when you are a tiny company as SE? THAT IS PURE MADNESS!!!
They should've dumped Symbian after they messed up UIQ which would have meant they can at least tackle both Android and Windows with much better support without spreading themselves too thinly.
Look at HTC, they had Windows only for a while and they became excellent in it and then moved over to Android which they are now good at.
I call that proper planning!
Again, SE should just drop Symbian cause it (Symbian) has nothing to offer them except more headaches. Hell, they should have had Symbian merge S60 into UIQ as the latter was already far advanced and touch optimized to be an overall leading OS.
Aahhh, well... what do you expect from the idiots over at SE?
For their sake they better not screw up Windows 7 cause the hardware is really good.

Even I am sick of X2, when it stops working using even only the basic features, and I got it for free. X2 is an embarassement. When I was sitting by the table in a coffie shop I proudly put my X1 on the table. But then with X2 its not the same. X2 is left in my pocket and not on the table.
Today I was driving from work and I wanted to use Gmaps and GPS just for fun and when I turned on the GPS the google maps crashed. I was so pissed I almost crashed my car.

How can i do that? I don't see any option that i can delete the Tile wave on my X2, unlike the Pixel City.

I can't believe anyone's really, genuinely, surprised by this state of affairs. SE have struggled in the past to maintain one smartphone platform, let alone three. Windows Mobile is a poor excuse for a modern OS in any case, but combined with an overstretched SE the X2 was always going to be a car wreck.
Caveat Empor, people. And doministry - don't try and claim you weren't warned.
