Sony Ericsson Zylo™ and Sony Ericsson Spiro™ provide consumers with the best music experience they have come to expect from Walkman™ phones but go one step further and marry music with social networking. Sony Ericsson Zylo™ and Sony Ericsson Spiro™ also feature the human curvature design that is now consistent across the whole Sony Ericsson portfolio. Beautiful and timeless human curvature also incorporates an ergonomic keypad which makes the handset easy to use.
“The Sony Ericsson range of Walkman™ phones has seen tremendous success since it was first launched in 2005 having sold more than 130 million handsets to date – and we are still seeing a great appetite from consumers. Today’s announcement aims to satisfy this demand by making the Walkman™ phone range available to a wider audience.” Said Jenny Maltesson, Marketing Business Manager at Sony Ericsson.
“By combining the best of the Walkman™ functionality with a myriad of social networking capabilities, Sony Ericsson Zylo™ and Sony Ericsson Spiro™ offer consumers the chance to access and get a taste of what our Communication Entertainment portfolio has to offer.” Concluded Maltesson.

Weird.Why not include a 3.5mm jack in both? Especially the Zylo which seems to be better packaged? :?

@se_dude
Looks like SE just went through the motions putting these together cause that also is puzzling me.
Anyone with an idea as to when the full touch walkman is to be announced?

Definitely don't get Zylo's lack of 3.5mm when it adds FLAC.

nothing new here? um pardon me if im wrong. but FLAC support is not found in any other phone on the market??? a blessing for true audiophiles, its one of the more popular formats amongst them!!!
and before people start crying that these arent high end, well,
have to cater for other markets too you know, not just high end.
the absence of the 3.5m jack is strange. but i suppose if the phones are for the 'kids', its no biggie for them. When i see the young ones listening to their phones, they use the standard included earphones 9/10 times. of course for the hardcore music listener its a bit of a bummer!
But FLAC! ACE!!!
edit: Q3, quite long a wait for the sort of phones they are.... o well. doesnt phase me, im not buying one...
And again. FLAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lets hope they bring that support into other phones in the near future
