> How to change desktop icons on T300?
Bookmark topic
Hi there.
Got a T300 from T-Mobile Germany but without a card. I'm using a D2-Vodafone card but on my desktop the WAP-Icon appears as a big, pink T! I wanna to change the icon, at best to the original. But how to do? Could I do it on my own (Got Data-Cable) or do i have to go to a SE-Servicepoint to let them upgrade the software? Or will it still be there if they upgrade?
Please someone answer, I allready got rid of it!

Do you mean desktop as in computer, or main menu in the phone?

Do the 12.5/13 second trick to get rid of the preinstalled stuff. Do a reset and wait 12.5 seconds and take off the battery before the reset completes. This stops the reset before the extra stuff loads. example.. pics, sounds, templates, screensavers, menus. ect....

How much memory did you have after the reset? Also you can delete the preinstalled SE pics before they load. When they load they somehow unzip and takeup more space. So go to memory status and delte the blank square for the pic before it reinstalls itself. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the tips, i got the normal se icon
Thing with the predifined SE Pics sux, recognized it as i already had copied my stuff to the cell. Do it better next time. Still got 400kb of free space, will be enough for me, don't copy any games (don't use my cell to play).
Ps.: I recognized some really annoing latency after master reseting and rebooting! Does anybody know about that? Sometimes my cell doesn't even react after a masterreset, i have to reboot it 5 - 6 times then ... and even the pics are NOT unzipped after that!

After an interuption in the reset the phone takes a little while to reboot. I had the same problem.

Glad i could help. Just passing on something I read here on Esato.
I feel the same way now I have a SE phone and not a T-mobile phone. I love the animated start up and shut down form SE. before all I had was a bad T-mobile picture.
