how do i move files from the memory card to the phone?
i'm trying to move some sound files for my ringtone.

anyone know?

One cannot, only one will be able when it is rooted. To use the proper tones it creates in the SD these folders:

media/audio/ringtones
and there you put the ringtones that you want

also you can put these folders for other sounds:
media/audio/alarms
media/audio/notifications

thanks for the information. i was unaware that the phone doesn't have a stock file manager. i had to download one from the market place.
