On thursday I bought a brand new Elm. Everything seemed to work ok until i have tested the implemented facebook application ... it automatically checked all the profile in a rush from start to the end (normally it goes profile by profile automatically, but if you tilt the phone left or right it goes one profile left or right). I went to the service menu and i saw the coordinates are not zero when the phone is standing on the edge... i tried to tilt the phone in such way to find the "zero" and I did, but in that case the phone must be tilted a bit backwards and on the diagonal edge of the phone. I also used the SE "Water Level" app and it showed the same result, mine accelerometer is NOT working properly.

I searched some pages if there is any way to calibrate it, but found nothing. Does anybody knows if it's possible to calibrate it ? Otherwise I will have to take the phone back to the store

Try reflashing the firmware via SEUS to see if that helps. It normally refreshes everything & may correct problems. Do you know how to do this? if that don't help return it. I have never used the Facebook app cos I don't do Facebook

Yes, I have USB cable and will try the SE Update Service program today. As far as I went, all the instructions came with the program so I hope there would be no problems.

I stumbled upon a reference to the battery trick to fixing accelerometer calibration on SE phones - tracked it down to the link below. Unfortunately it's a fix for the Nexus accelerometer, but if it does work for you let us know.

I had this problem, I found that if I pulled the battery out. Left it for 15 seconds, then put it back in. Turned the phone on while it was on a flat surface, that it seemed to correct itself :/

I have the same problem with my new Vivaz, the horizont when the phone is on it's side is off by 3 degrees, which makes games a problem to play. Anyone know of a fix? I'll try the SEUS update, but I can't right now. The power down/restart on flat surface didn't work.
