hello there. I have a question about the display.. dont really know how to explain it... when i view it from a very small angle (so that it mirrors the light) i see the middle all "oily" it's like green+purle/violet combination. You can see it even if the phone is off, or best is to look at a white background... here are some snapshots with a vivaz, but you can see them better with the eye (just so you know what to look for).

So do you guys have this? (it is noticable after you remove the display shield - the film that is on the screen when you buy it - sory i dont know the right word for it now..) Try to look at your phone if you have no cover (nothing) on the screen. Why is it there? and you can only see it if you look at it from that wide, narrow angle, if you look at it normally, you dont see anything at all. Do i need to take it back? it has no sideeffects whatsoever..

Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean, I don't see anything similar on my Satio, and it's not obvious from the pictures you posted either. What I do see, and what I can see on my Satio also, is that the display is not entirely flat, and hence, the mirrored image becomes somewhat distorted, which is most obvious in the second of your pictures, where the mirrored text lines from the computer screen bends. I can only guess that the effects you see are purely optical, either due to that the display is not 100% optical flat, or that there are some kinds of optical coatings applied on the screen, anti-reflex, anti-scratch, etc. It may disappear if you use a soft cotton cloth and carefully rub the display. It's definitely nothing that you can claim as a cause to return the phone, and, as you mention, if you look at the phone at more normal angles, you don't see it.

This is just the reflex of Satio's display surface

yes thats what i was thinking about too, some special coating. Anyway, try to look at the middle pf the phone i marked it on this next photo. If you look at it with the naked eye, you see it better (IF YOU HAVE NO MORE PROTECTION ON YOUR SCREEN).. is is only visible where i marked it. you can look at it frm left, right, top, bottom, from that angle and you see it.
And it wont disappear after i wipe the screen. I has been there since i removed the "shield". anyway i got lifetime warranty for this phone, so i can fix it anytime, but i dont feel ok to have a phone that has issues. Even if its working ok. Thats why i need to know. They are there when the phone is turned off, and you can see them better if you set a white background and look at it (from that angle).

I have that on an area of the screen that is damaged. The phone thinks I'm always pressing that part of the screen.
