Sony Ericsson Launches Bubble Bungee

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - May 27, 2010) - Sony Ericsson is set to entertain internet users across the globe with the launch of its new viral game Bubble Bungee.

The bright and colourful game is fun and easy to follow. The aim of the game is to click on the coloured bubbles to hook your bungee rope and swing, picking up points along the way. With such a simple concept it is surprisingly challenging and fast-paced.

The way to succeed at Bubble Bungee is by building up your score. The player can then view their Global Ranking by looking at the leader board with the current top score standing at a whopping 1,212,326.

Another way to improve a player's score is by winning as many bonus points as possible, which is done by collecting "achievements." There are 25 achievements in total to win, such as 'Spread the Love' in which a player gains points by setting up a league and getting their friends to join. Other achievements include '360's in a Row,' where the player gets bonus points the more times they do 360° swings in a row, and 'Secret Bonuses' where the player must get their bungee rope to swing above the screen, or from one side of the screen to the other.

Bubble Bungee also gives players the option to share the fun through their social network pages. With links to popular social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Bebo, it is incredibly easy for gamers to show off a top score to all their friends and get them involved too.

Sony Ericsson has also recently launched a new user generated content competition, The South African Wave, offering entrants the chance to get their hands on one of the official match balls to be used at the FIFA World Cup™ this summer. Fans can also get involved by visiting the South African Wave tab on the Sony Ericsson Facebook page and can keep an eye out for other competitions on the Sony Ericsson YouTube channel.

Sony Ericsson creates innovative, sophisticated and inspirational phones and accessories, designed with each individual's fun and entertainment in mind. Sony Ericsson seeks to help each user see things differently, to be at the centre of countless everyday moments and make them extraordinary, to create an inspiring friend for everyone so that they can find beauty in the unexpected.

Free. The link is at the bottom of the article. It's not bad for wasting some time in work.
