I've always liked this phone.

My favourite clamshell after the white W508.

me too idk why nobody ever really notices these phones they come out there a fuss for a week to a month (depending if low, mid or high range) and forgotten about but when they came out they were a big fuss. every one on esato was talking about it, talking pics of theres making reviews, the bad thing only about it was not memory card slot (so we can expand ours to 16gig since there pretty cheap now) and the print that the d-pad made on the screen when it was closed for a while.

i like phones with movement, sliders are usually the size of a k800i when closed or bigger, and candy bars just well have no movement, now im not saying i want my to jump up and down but sliders and flips just are more fashionable to me and better looking and "more fun to use"

i dont mind them though because there usually the ones with the most features, and usually the most bricky. I mean come on HTC Touch Pro closed or a N96 is really just a big brick with paint to make it look nice

THIS POST IS NOT MENT TO GIVE OFFENCE TO ANYONE WHO LOVES CANDYBARS OR BRICKY NOKIAS SORRY IF I MADE U CRY NOKIA LOVERS

I show my love of the legendary but now never talked about ahem *dead* W980 by changing my phone rank/model/avatar to the W980

No I know your not showing offence everyone has their own taste but I simply hate clamshells. I only ever had one clamshell which was the w*50i or something I cannot quite remember. But I hated it & imo clamshells have some of the worst designs.

i agree they do pick terrible designs, except for w980i, t707 and jalou (purple only) other than those models there all terrible. z780 was not bad either.

was the walkman clamshell a w710i?

I loved my W980. Especially the in built fm transmitter.

If I didn't want a smartphone i'd still be using it.
