> X10 mini Unlocking (Fonefunshop)
Bookmark topic
Hi
Has anyone managed to unlock their X10 mini yet? I tried to unlock it at my local market but was told it wouldn't be possible for another 2-3 weeks yet Fonefunshop.co.uk are claiming to be able to unlock it for £20 if you send your phone to them.
Has anybody used them before as I would not like to send my phone off to them if I don't need to!
Thanks

I'm looking into this now. Yeah I noticed lots of places online saying they'll unlock that model. I've unlocked
SE before but if this is too difficult/risky I'll pay for it locally. I need this phone abroad soon so...no time to waste.

I got mine unlocked. I tried many places and they just didn't know what to do with the device. But I went to one I've been to before in the capital and they said they got the unlock code so it won't void warranty. The phone works brilliantly, no issue whatsoever.
While every place called friends to ask about software for cracking the device, the place I got it done said they'd need to keep the phone overnight to wait to get the right software. I was a little concerned about that, I've read so many dodgy things about those places. But I had the IMEI and receipt and there was no personal info. on it. I got the device back and I've no reason to suspect anything bad. Plus I actually had a few notes in the phone in the note section which were still there.
Just a little info. for those of you who want to get your's done!

hi,
i saw this post and thought i better comment.
the reason we can unlock x10 range is because we have access to a private server.
the server currently supports:
Unlock Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
Unlock Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini
Unlock Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro
Unlock Sony Ericsson Xperia X8
Unlock Sony Ericsson E15
Unlock Sony Ericsson M1 Aspen
Unlock Sony Ericsson W100 Spiro
the unlock takes approx 30 seconds so can be done while you wait, or mail the phone into us and we will return it the same day.
the reason many local stores cannot unlock these phones is because these models have not yet been added to setool, cruiser box's etc yet, as the authors want to make money on the private servers for a select few recognised dealers before releasing it into mainstream tools.
this is somthing that happens time to time.
as for being trustable, we have been around since 1994 and have been unlocking and repairing phones for may customers both mail in and walk in, we also are one of the main resellers and distributers for the unlocking industry too, and have probably supplied unlocking equipment to your local store at some point.
if you need it unlocking and are close to sheffield you will find our opening times and address under the contact button on our website. or if you live out of the area, use our mail in service to get the job done.
hope this helps and puts your mind at ease about who we are.

just an update for you,
you can now buy a credit to use the unlock server from home, no need to send the phone to us any more.
server works using standard usb cable as supplied with your phone.
unlock takes approx 12 seconds.

I'm sure you offer a great service, but a quick Google finds several other places that will unlock an X10 mini for a LOT less than £25.99. One is £3.29...
