I've been watching videos recorded with a w995 on youtube and i think they have bad quality. I Don't know why, it's a 8Mp walkman phone

i don't see any progress , it looks a video recorded with a w580, its not good enough

LOL

Download your music video (*.avi ...), then convert with ImTOO 3GP Video Converter 3
Then choose *.3gp and drag & drop video to window.
Mark video and manual change settings!

Video codec: xvid
Video size: 320 x 240
Bit rate: 384
Frame rate: 24
.
.
Audio codec: mpeg aac
Bit rate: 128
Sample rate: 44100
Channels: 2 (Stereo)

Screenshot:

Example video with these settings: Nelly Furtado - Say it right.mp4 (I just change extension from *.3gp to *.mp4)

SE hasn't been good at the video recorder since ever. The Vivaz is among the best HD phones out there and some good after that aswell (maybe Satio) but before Vivaz SE was focusing more on the camera than the video recording.

@dek1,
Having more megapixels doesnt mean that the device will also be good for video recording. Moreover W995 is a Walkman phone not a camcorder.

Very funny, He was asking (or telling us) about the (bad) video recording quality and you're giving him the video encoding settings for playback. At least i dont get ya

What is the intent - recording your desktop with phone camera or convert music video (*.avi) with better quality (audio & video) ?
If you want to compare recorded with phone camera and converted music video (*.avi) with better quality - what would you think is better?

um I think you misunderstood , what the topic starter meant is that he watched some youtube videos "made" with the w995's camera.

I mean why would he record his desktop, he would have just downloaded it instead, which is why he also said you didn't understand his question.

I know very well what this is about!
Pointless to record video on desktop with a phone camera - download & converting is always best option!
Will hardly understand me why I tell him to convert instead of explaining why his phone (W995) is not good to record desktop video.
Someday you will understand the meaning...
