I am listing the changes here as me and other Esato members discover and report them:

Update #1: After downloading a .jar file in Netfront, you no longer need to wait for the full file name to slide by.

Update #2: The camera icon in the main menu looks nicer.

Update #3: After installing an application from the downloads menu, it will show a smaller version of the app's icon.

Update #4: The main menu opens notably faster than before.

Update #5: You can now turn Clear Voice and Noise Shield on and off from the Calls menu in Settings whereas before you could only do it whilst in a call.

Update #6: The significant blue-orange horizontal lines have been reduced to insignificant, hard-to-see purple horizontal lines.

Well, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever where to find the official list of firmware changes. Well done Sony Ericsson, for making your website a labyrinth.

Just checked SEUS and nothing so far for Generic UK models. Maybe in a few days time though as updates released for certain areas over the course of 14 days usually.

Have you tried checking using the phone's own software update menu in the [settings -> general] menu?

Also, another thing I noticed since the update is that the calendar and walkmate widgets won't show up in the "home" screen anymore; when pressing "Show", it displays walkmate in full mode, but not in background mode, and the calendar widget doesn't do anything at all now.

I've tried both the phone's own update service and SEUS. As I said though. New firmware doesn't get released for all regions at the same time so its just a matter of checking. I really hope the calendar widget works properly as I use it a lot.

I'd also prefer not having two broken widgets on my Elm.
Maybe it has something to do with having updated using the phone's Software Update menu in stead of SEUS (although I'd doubt that, because everything else works as good as or better than before the update), if not, I hope they release a fixed firmware soon.

I noticed this new firmware has the same version name as Hazel's current firmware. So they use the same firmware, but for some reason it took a lot longer for Elm's update to be released.

I've just upgraded on a (as far as I know) generic UK Elm using the Update Software menu. Non of the widgets seem to work properly (out of Facebook, Walkmate and Calendar) and so far I've noticed no other differences. Kind of annoying!

Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum. I bought a new Elm couple of days back and am totally disappointed with it's camera and audio. It shows a visible blue yellowish lines in all the pictures. So I did a software update via phone's menu and it screwed up all the widgets in the home screen as you guys were discussing.

Will firmware update fix the camera's problem? I'm also not satisfied with the audio quality and supplied headphones. Should i return the phone and upgrade to Hazel? Any advice would be appreciated...

Hazel's camera also shows some blue yellowish lines in pictures in lowlight shots, even in firmware R7BA081, Elm and Hazel both have exactly the same camera, hopefully future firmware updetas will remove them thoroughly.
