> Extracting apps and games from Satio
Bookmark topic
Hi everyone once again. I just got my girlfriend the Sony Ericsson Satio in Bordeaux (blood red).
my question is how do i extract
(if there is already a topic about this - it would be nice if someone can redirect me)
apps, games and plugins
(such as the picasa plugin which i dont have on my satio but i do have on my girlfriends)
from the phone
can it be done by y-browser or xplore? or even through the pc by copying particualar areas of the phone/card memory?
thanks once again all.

Look into hacking using helloOX. If you can install and run helloOX then you can access the hidden and system folders that you won't be able to access otherwise. Then you might be able to find the plugin. however I pretty sure sis files are unpacked when installed so it probably not be possible to just copy a file like you can with JAR files on A200 phones.
Also google and search esato and s60 forums to see if any reverse engineer has ported the app to Satio.

Have fun! My Satio has the latest firmware (did when I bought it), and HelloOX doesn't work on this version> I'd have to downgrade the firmware, which I will eventually, but for now I'm happy enough to just use it as is. I can sign apps with my cert using signsis so I can still use unsigned software.
When I'm ready to give the modded camdriver a go I'll have to downgrade to install helloOX.

downgrading is strenuous
a heads up..use lollys technique if you can..
the omnius application is a 50/50 chance - can brick your phone, but then again you can repair with seus

haha! It's not so much the downgrading, as restoring all your data and apps afterwards!
