> Surfing with the P800 using a cable modem?
Bookmark topic
Ive heard that you can surf the web using the Orange SPV when you have it in its cradle using your home cable connection? This is beneficial as you can download loads of webpages and view them offline on the handset without having to use the GPRS or GSM service, is this possible with the p800?

How to connect to your internet connection through Bluetooth on your P800:
1) Download this Java browser and install it on your P800
http://www.reqwireless.com/webviewer.html
2) Set up your bluetooth connection on your PC and P800. Make sure that the bluetooth
icon on your P800 shows that you're connected.
3) Open the reqwireless WebViewer while you're connected to bluetooth and, off you go
surfing the web for free. Normally when you use the WebViewer you should see a GPRS
icon at the bottom of your phone, but now you don't, which means you're surfing the
web through bluetooth and your PC's internet connection!

It works over IR, cable, Bluetooth... works with Reqwireless' browser, or the built-in browser (but takes some work). The full Opera browser that will be released for the P800 will offer BT, IR, cable surfing out of the box.
As fun as Avantgo was... well, I now love the fact that having GPRS makes me not really want Avantgo... but hey, I can see why a lot of people would want or need it.

I've found out.. you dont need much to surf the net as such... just need to connect your P800 to either USB or IR and you can start surffing .. providing that you have a current internet connection at the time...
