Greetings Esato Members and Lurkers alike

It's been a while for me to visit and login around here, but I have inquiries about the X10 please help an old member , anyhow here are my inquiries:

Do you think it is worth it to buy me a Sony Ericsson X10? Using HTC Legend at the moment.

Because I am getting fed up with the HTC Legend Small screen size, having slow processor for a gamer (like me ) and sometimes the signal dies (maybe a "Death Grip" thing like iPhone 4 (which I hate anyways please don't mention it to me as an alternative )>

Or should I buy/wait for a better Android device (Must have 4'+ screen size, 1ghz+ processor and of course as I mentioned before it must be an Android phone) so any Ideas fellow eastoies ?

Must also be a non-usa device and Unlocked (ie European release that's unlocked ).

Cheers!

You will get many different opinions here..
With almost the same price as the Galaxy S, I will say that Samsung is the better choice.
Galaxy S is more up to date over X10 in hardware and software ( galaxy getting 2.2 while X10 getting 2.1 )

I'd say go for the X10. I was never a major gaming fan especialy in mobiles until i got my X10. Android games are realy good,especialy the high quality graphics accelerated ones and they look awesome on the 4inch display,its like having a PSP that can call,text,and take pics/vids lol

mate, buy galaxy s if 4'' + is must. This year I have used a Tattoo, Galaxy Spica, x10 Mini, X10,
htc,desire....
the X10 was by far the slowest and least enjoyable of them all.
Actually, my n97 was faster.
no I go and hide

Only thing that's poor about the x10 is call volume

I'm also in a dilemma: Samsung i9000 Galaxy or X10?

I personally like the design of X10 but specification-wise, samsung is ofcourse a better choice.

EDIT: Camera is better on X10

Camera is better on x10 yes but the Samsung which I now have has 2.1 Android with update soon. Is reliable fast has no issues whatsoever(unlike my x10) has HD video if that matters to you. Has multi touch for internet & images so I say overall it is better.

@Fredrix:
I never knew that Galaxy S is the same price of X10, Especially around here in Saudi Arabia, I must check the market around here then because it makes more sense that Galaxy S is much better in everything except one thing for me, the design which is a copycat of iPhone in the hardware and menu UI (imo!) , but I can't judge UNTIL I try it (I almost forgot 1 point which is I prefer TFT against AMOLED, why? because the weather here in the day is sunny most of the time and I had hard time on my HTC legend (which is almost blank, black screen under the daylight).

@Tsepz_GP:
Thanks for the replay I'll keep the idea of gaming in X10 in mind

@Jkovacz:
Slowness seems to be universal among SE phones, almost all the SE I've tried were slow but not horribly slow, so got used to it and experienced such a wonderful and pleasurable experience (Especially W900i)

@Bonovox:
Low call volume can be problematic, especially in crowded areas and the outdoor in general, I'll look over this problem.

@buntoo:
Yeah v2.1 is a big advantage, also HD is important but not more important than high quality still-pictures shooting camera to me. Multitouch... you might call me weird but it annoyed me on my HTC Legend (because of the 3.2 small screen?) so it doesn't matter much to me.

after 1month of of critical thinking I decided to go for the x10 as an upgrade of my c905, for now i have no complaints, some people say that x10 is slow they are wrong it only shows that they don't have the x10, on the gaming dep well its enough for me to put my psp at home for now tee hee!..
