Updated my Hazel Firmware today. anyone who can find differences/changes in Hazel's firmwares please post them here.

Anyway I started from:

R7BA076:

Usually the first firmware installed on Hazel.

Bugs:

When switching from video mode to picture mode, the camera sometimes freezes. Need to restart the camera in order to work.

Light horizontal lines sometimes appear on lowlight pictures.

R7BA081:

Camera SW versions
Camera
Current: 3.8
Video Call camera
Current: 1.7

Java
JP-8.5.2

Changes:

Runs a little smoother than R7BA076

Bugs:

Same bug when switching from video mode to picture mode the camera sometimes freezes. Need to restart the camera in order to work.

Sometimes when shooting a video when you press stop the phone freezes (although it seldomly happens). Workaround is to press pause first then stop.

Light horizontal lines sometimes appear on lowlight pictures.

R7CA064:

LCD SW versions
Main display
Current 200911230

Camera SW versions
Camera
Current: 3.9
Video Call camera
Current: 1.8

ITP SW version
1227-6005 4

Content version

From SE site:

* Enhanced performance and stability.
* Improved ‘Noise Shield’ performance.

Changes:

Faster and smoother UI.

Has a new camera Icon.

Fixed the bug when switching from video mode to picture mode. The camera no longer freezes.

Settings>Calls> added noise shield and clear voice options

Bugs:

Light horizontal lines still sometimes appear on lowlight pictures.

R7CA065:

LCD SW versions
Main display
Current 200911230

Camera SW versions
Camera
Current: 3.9
Video Call camera
Current: 1.8

ITP SW version
1227-6005 4

Content version
PA8

Java SW version
JP-8.5.2

Changes:

Improved signal reception.

Bugs:

Light horizontal lines still sometimes appear on lowlight pictures.

Note: for all firmwares

When widgets don't appear, reboot the phone after updating (you may have to remove and reinsert the battery), the widgets should be back after rebooting

Will edit my post if i find out some more improvements or bugs with the current firmware.

All updates were done using SEUS

Widgets dosen't seem to work on my Hazel. I tried the remove battery/reboot trick. I can manage widgets without problems, but the widgets I want to show on the standby-screen dosen't appear...

which widgets don't show? were they working before? what firmware do you have now?

Try updating the firmware using SEUS for a full firmware flash if you haven't tried yet, not sure but it might solve the problem.

When I press the UP navigation I can choose to view the Calendar, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace or Walk Mate Eco widget on the home screen. It used to work with the old firmware, but now it dosen't.

I haven't tried a firmwareflash through my PC, only the one where the phone downloads the update over-the-air.
Will it help to flash through my PC? If I do a flash from my PC will the flash erase all my stored information? The update over-the-air did not erase any information and I must say I liked that

If you flash using PC and SEUS it will delete all files in your phone, you can use PC suite to backup your files but the applications that were installed on the phone will be lost, you'll have to reinstall them again Files on the memory card won't be affected though.

I haven't tried updating using the phone, I've always used PC and SEUS. If you have important apps and notes and you don't need the widgets I suggest don't update, but if you have a backup of all the apps, files on the phone on your PC and your contacts saved on SIM card I think it's worth a try using SEUS, you'll need the cable and the software update is around 100+mb.

To day I'm trying to update my R7CA064 Hazel using SEUS but it says that my phone already has the latest firmware, it seems that R7CA065 is not available yet for my location (Indonesia)...any suggestion?
