> Damn! Major crash of my T68
Bookmark topic
I haven't seen this in this forum before.
My T68 crashed yesterday, and even REMOVING THE BATTERY does not fix it
When the phone is switched on the screen lits for a second and then goes black again, then lits again and goes black again. It stays in this loop until I remove the battery.
When I put the battery back (even after 10 hours), the loop starts again...
The crash started when using WAP over GPRS. The phone never crashed before.
I'm using firmware release R1B.
The SIM is OK, I tested it on an old Siemens S6 (built 1996). Booting the phone without SIM does not make a difference.
Anyone seen this before?
I feel very sad that my beloved T68 has died

I recommend you to take your phone to a service-center near you, and upgrade your software to the latest version (R2B). That should solve the problem. If it's a hardware fault, they should also be able to solve your problems.

Is that possible, installing new software on the phone, when it's not even possible to start the phone?
My nearest service-center is a dealer, from whom I did not buy the phone. Are they allowed to charge me the cost? (obviously I still have warranty from

usually it is the company who has the "warranty seal" who will only be able to work on your phone...
say, if you bring a "still under warranty" phone to a shop where you didnt buy it, chances are they would say THEY WOULDNT FIX IT...
of course for your sake, coz if they did fix it, they would have to break your warranty seal...

U should go to your nearest service point, obviously its not the software, its the hardware that crashed on to your beloved T68! Besides you have the warranty! They have to replace your T68.
