As we all know, the Elm's specs say that it has a splash resistant body, so I was wondering, do any of you have any experience with its splash resistance? I would like to attach my Elm to my bicycle to use it for GPS navigation. Is its splash resistance sufficient to take it for a bike ride when it's raining? Or would it be better to cover it up with something see-through?

I'd cover it up with cling wrap then take a blow dryer at a distance on low setting to it to make the plastic tight. If for nothing else, the Fastport is exposed, and it does tarnish. Water can also easily permeate the battery compartment (there's no rubber o-ring at all) and muck up your battery contacts as well as your MicroSD contacts.

When I had my C702, it was resistant enough. According the booklet, it was IP54. What's yours?
