about time I introduce myself
have been following this forum for about 2 months
it cause of this forum that I bought a T68i (got the grey james bond edition with the Proximus action here in Belgium)
after a week, I almost regretted my new phone ( I used to have a 5510 from nokia since the beginning it came out. I know, ugly phone, but excellent sound quality and very fast sms'ing)

I suddenly had a sort of software problem I think
when I wrote an SMS and pressed the sent button, it always stored the messages in "Unsent" instead of sending it
I returned it to the shop and the sent it back to SE, after a weak I got it back, but it seamed that nothing changed, still the same problem
I began to get really pissed, I hated nokia, but began to hate SE even more.
But the shop couldn't do anything else dan resending the mobile. And to my great suprise, I got a call few days later. They told me my mobile was fixed. When I arrived at the shop, it appeared that I received a new mobile, and a friendly lettre from SE with their sincere appologies . I received a free camera, desktop charger, an extra front cover (the white/blue one) and a pc-cable with software
now THIS is what I call service honestly I wasn't excepting any good from SE after that bug after only a week ...
but my opinion has totally changed
SE got themself a happy customer
the mobile now works perfectly.

(sorry for my bad english )

Wow. That's some story. Glad to hear the maker of this great phone also provides good service. And they sent you all that stuff for free? I could really use a pc cable, software and extra case. I'm jealous!

BTW, welcome to Esato!

they were indeed sent free to the story where I could pick them up
they were pretty embaroused by their repair-center, who sent the phone back without doing something about it
and they new the phone was brand new ...

I know.

I bought a T68m Octomber 2001 and complained a lot about it because the SW.

SonyEricssons Support Boss called me up and said they´re going to change my phone to a T68i (my phone was 6months old by that time) and as he said I recieved it in the begining of april
By that time the T68i-model was rarely not even out in stores by that time, so I thought it was really nice

(I, ofcourse, had to send my old back to them..)

Nowdays I own a P800. Really nice

Guess SE has changed their corporate strategy.
When I first bought my T68i, the led on the keypad was faulty (on side is brighter than the other side). That time, Malaysia just got the T68i stock and no replacement part too. Therefore, the SE service center asked me to play with it first till the replacement stocks comes in which only few days later, the SE service center called up and replaced a totally brand new T68i for me. Very happy and satisfy but of course did not receive additional accessories like Black Ice did.

A brand new phone & they left you without it for a week ???
My local store say if you have a problem within 2 weeks you can change to a different model phone & up to a month of ownership any manufacturers faults you get a brand new phone over the counter on the spot.
I imagine you got all the freebies because SE were furious with the dealer.
