i have a Nokia N95 8gb, i knw my phone is hsdpa compatible,but it never shows the hsdpa icon...only 3g icon is displayed. Why???there's definitely ntng wrng with my phne. I just need some advice

It could be a parameter that the cell isnt transmitting thats causing the H icon on your phone not to be displayed thats all.
But there is a difference between 3G and HSDPA so you would ask your network operator if that base station has been upgraded from 3G to HSDPA

gee,thanks...tho the speeds are quite fast (90-130kbps) it mite just be that the icon is nt being displayd but its still gettin an hsdpa connection...but hey thanks again

On a Nokia below the signal metre it normally shows 3.5G if it's HSDPA not a H

Yep,Nokia shows 3.5G when its connected/while actualy transfering data, so try this: click on a link, then minimize and watch that 3G icon,it should change to 3.5G while downloading the page if you are in a HSDPA area,once done it will go back to 3G.
Yep theres a difference in 3G and HSDPA speeds, 3G gets upto 384kbps whilest HSDPA on a N95 gets upto 3.6mbps,offcourse though in reality maximum especialy here in SA at this time of night you will probably get 1.2mbps max,its even worse in other countries as the networks are so conjested.
HSUPA is High Speed Uplink Packet Access,its like HSDPA but its for Uploading, N95 doesnt support HSUPA, mainly newer phones from around late 2008 support HSUPA. HSUPA is currently at 5.76mbps in most phones,whilest HSDPA is at 10.2mbps. HSDPA is download, HSUPA is upload.

Recently i was using my usb stick on pc downloading a movie and 'Boom' the speeds were like 987kb/s...damn that was amazing,what could be the cause or how can i make that happen again.

That is entirely network dependant. If your network is handling huge amounts of data then it will affect your internet speeds. Lol. You were just extremely lucky at the time, my friend. Try downloading/uploading data after midnight when the network traffic is at its lowest. Also make sure that any applications on your computer with automatic updates are turned off or set to manual as they slow down your max speed.
