I tried connecting to Facebook using the built-in application but it kept saying log-in failed. I tried modifying the internet permissions for the app so it connects through Wi-Fi and not just the mobile network but it still failed to connect. I can log-in to Facebook using a computer.

Are you on Digi network? If so then that's probably your problem What phone are you using by the way?

I don't use DiGi. I'm using a SE Hazel.

Have you tried logging in by using the built in browser of the phone and visiting the mobile site of facebook?

I had this problem for ages, then one day I tried and it worked. It's been fine since.

Go figure...
