Hi there esato peeps.
Does anyone know whether O2 are actually charging for WAP and MMS access via GPRS yet? I'm on a monthly contract and singlepoint are bloody clueless, as usual, they say they are charging but they don't know how much. Is that legal? I'm sure it's not.

Please, if anyone knows the actual situation, post here. I'm sure there are lots of people who want to know - especially those working at O2.

I just got my first Singlepoint bill for my o2 contract a few days ago and hadn't been charged for using wap via GPRS.

Also, a few weeks back i read on www.mobileshop.co.uk that o2 were offering free gprs access on all contracts until 31st march 2003, but this has now gone from the website. Also, when i called singlepoint, around the same time as seeing that, the adviser didnt know anything about it.

I've an O2 Online PAYG simcard and GPRS is still free for me... so is MMS since I use the NowMMS service http://www.nowmms.com.

Why does it work? Because you don't use O2's MMS server so that they can't tell you sent and MMS, it's just data.
