Hi, would anyone like some free online storage from Dropbox?
Anyone wanting to sign up please simply follow
my referral link and we both get an extra 256MB of storage on top of the standard 2GB as long as you register and install the desktop app (all free).
This service is actually spectacularly useful, making your files accessible to you via the website where ever you go, or through the PC app and of course even more convenient with the Android and iPhone apps.
You can also invite people to share folders with you giving both/all of you access to the same storage location for convenient file sharing.
PS - I don't intend to share my or your storage and there is nothing suspicious here, no pyramid scheme or profit etc. just a genuinely useful tool and me simply using the referrals to get us both the extra space
Cheers,
Mik

Er, yeah thanks for hijacking with your own referral link!
I prefer
this one myself but there you go!
Anyway, there doesn't seem to be much interest.

It seems pretty good to me, instantly synced free storage which can access straight from your phone all without any charge or ads!
The only thing I think needs to change is that it doesn't automatically download every item people put in shared folders.
The phone apps work this way where they just show a list and you choose whether to get the content but the desktop apps download everything, sometimes meaning you get other people's stuff in your storage quota which you may not want. that's just a problem with sharing though.

Try Zumodrive too Mik, I really like it as an accompaniment as it works on the PC, Mac, iPhone and Android too, it shows as a drive on the PC which I find easier to use!

Cheers, looks pretty good. The separate drive is a good idea actually, I can see benefits to both that and the simple folder method of Dropbox

Zumodrive also has a neat music player built in to stream the music stored within the drive!
(on Android anyway...)
