Can anyone tell me whats the best Android cross application for publishing Facebook status updates and tweets on twitter?
I'm completely new to twitter but have been using Facebook for a while and noticed Blackberry users can status update on Facebook and Tweet on twitter from the same application ubertwitter, surely there must be similar for X10 Android users but what is it?
Thanks if you can help.

Ok I'll give that a look.
In the normal twitter application on the X10 it doesn't even let me log in. I see its a common problem by looking through google.

I can't even log in with tweetdeck or the normal twitter just like the rest of the people having that same problem.
Anyone know the solution?
It's probably because of something stupid like twitter not being compatable now with old Android versions
Another reason to hate the X10

TweetDeck is working fine on my X10, im currently logged in on both my Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Are you getting some kind of error when trying to login?

How about Twitter in Timescape can you log into that? I can't log in on twitter in Timescape or TweetDeck all I get when entering my twitter username and password or my email address and password is the following
Login failed. Account information is not correct.
However using my same username and password on twitter and TweetDeck for my iPod Touch my login details are fine and I can log in with both and it works fine but on with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.
I do have full 3G signal and also full wifi signal showing on the X10 but it just won't log in.
I have found this
http://blog.twitter.com/2010/[....]er-applications-and-oauth.html
"As of August 31, Twitter applications will all use OAuth, an authentication method that lets you use apps without them storing your password."
But if you say it's working for you then it should work. I have the current latest firmware also for the X10.

For simple status updates, I use Timescape... For the dumb reason that it says "posted from an X10Mini Pro" then has the SE logo... Hehehehe... Other than that, I prefer using the official facebook app.

Yeah the Facebook application works ok on the X10 and so does updating your status from Timescape it's just the feed from Facebook that has trouble updating for a lot of people, Sony Ericsson knows about that one.
As for Twitter or any of the Twitter clients I just can't get it working on the X10 as I just get login failed errors, it's rubbish that it won't work.
I phoned Sony Ericsson earlier today, no known fix by them although it could be something to do with authentication from the info I found out through googling. But if it works for some and they have the same firmware then it should work for everyone but doesn't
Something I did find out today was 2.1 Android update is the only update they have in the pipeline for the X10.
I'm ditching Sony Ericsson for good as soon as the HTC Desire HD comes out, HTC have way better phones than Sony Ericsson these days.

Yep,both FB and Twitter on Timescape work for me,im on R2BA024 FW and i use EDGE mainly for web browsing, social networking eta... only use HSDPA or wifi when downloading large files and streaming.
Did you read that X10 will only get upto Android2.1 at XDA? If so,did that person who did that topic give/show proof of all this?

@Tooney, AFAIK, a lot of twitter & FB clients are now having spotty issues since Twitter and FB changed their authentication system. Unfortunately, Twitter for Android is only for 2.1. I haven't tried tweetdeck though for simultaneous updating.
I hope they're updating Timescape though. It has so much potential if they just add more sorting/viewing options and integrate multiple email accounts as well.
I would actually go as far as to say that Timescape is to
what Flipboard is to the iPad. IF...IF...IF... they continue to refine it.
I don't update my
Twitter manually, since it's tied in with my blog entries at
@Techgospel so I can't say if it works with Timescape for BOTH fb & twitter at the same time.
But Timescape does have the option to check both fb & twitter accounts for status updates, so it might work.
Try connecting over Wifi first to enable your accounts. Might be a blocked service on your telco... just guessing. This should have no effect on either service, but it just MIGHT be an issue.
