hi there

I bought my x10 mini pro on wednesday but since the start I can't get it to download my internet settings ... is there something I must enable?

I'm from belgium and use the proximus network

Other quick questions:

1) what keys must I press to type the underscore _ ?
2) how must I download Astro file manager? All I see is a strange QR Code

I come from a p990i (what a great machine that was) but I find the x10 mini pro not as easy to use (first impression)

grtz

Hey encoded, ya UIQ was quite easy to use vs Android. The QR code automatically goes to Android market when you star NeoReader on the phone and point the camera at the code.

Your provider might not support OTA settings as well, not familiar with Proximus so you might have better luck going to their service center instead.

If you can't connect to your mobile network, try connecting to your home wifi network first. This will be your best bet to getting your phone setup and downloading apps. Once you have everything setup to connect with gmail and your gcal, then download apps (just start NeoReader and face the camera to the Qr Code on your laptop screen)

Once you get the hang of android, you'll find that it picks up where UIQ left off. I do miss the tabbed menu of UIQ though, but the corner shortcuts of the X10 mini pro and X8 are, IMO, genius UI additions from wish the other launchers would follow.
