Can you tell me what advances are planned on mobiles in the near future in particular concerning GPRS.
Is it worth waiting for new models ???
Thanks
Michael

Higher GPRS class and new coding scheme bring faster data transfer. Need network support. Choose a phone now on your need. This message was posted from a R520

Text messages (SMS) can be sent via GPRS or normal GSM/CSD. The same is said for MMS although usually only GPRS is offered for faster downloads etc.

To send messages via WAP or web, do you mean WAP/websites that allow you to send SMS to other phones?

Yes, you can enter in the Esato forum via WAP either over GSM data or over GPRS. A bookmark can be stored in ur phone for the page. wap.esato.com/board/wap.php#esato If you don't know setting wap n gprs well, can find info from ur operator. To access via GSM, you need setup the dialup number and the user data provided by ur operater. Gprs connection is virtually dialed by phone. It need also data setting before can connect. Gprs is preferable, as gsm csd call will cost more than gprs normaly. It is easy to surf wap page on a PDA phone like p800. I have a Chatboard. I use it for my r520 most time. Cheers!
