Try tagtag.com not sure if it allows colour pictures but is simple to use and works well. This message was posted from a WAP device

@-GaZ-
I see you're located in England, so the following links may not apply to you. I use AT&T service in the US. They have agreements with two hosting companies: http://www.snapfishmobile.com and http://www.runpics.com .

By adding about $2.00 to your monthly bill, you can use your pc to upload pics to your runpics account, for example. Then you can log on with your phone and download the pics with ease.

Runpics has a pretty amazing web interface that includes a real-time tool to resize and crop your images. Furthermore, you can adjust the file size by increasing or decreasing the image's number of colors.

Keep in mind, these services just provide a space for you to store, view and transfer images. If I remeber correctly, there is also a way to make your 'picture gallery' public, so others can view and download your files.

Now I have a question for you folks. How much would you pay for wap-enabled xhtml hosting? My company provides web hosting services, and with a few modifications to our web server, we can host xhtml sites where wap 1.2 users can download not only gifs and jpgs but themes (.thm) and ringtones (.imy).

Please let me know if anyone is interested.

There is an excellent guide to creating WAP sites at www.bango.net/building

Includes info on generating revenue from your pictures, if you want.
