I hope someone can help out with this.

I've recently bought and had fitted a Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth Car Kit and I've discovered a couple of problems with it. Let me list them and if anyone can shed some light on either of them that would be great.

1) I've found I have to set the Bluetooth Operation Mode to 'On' in my T68i as I get in the car. If I have the Operation Mode set as 'Automatic' the CK3000 doesn't pick up on it when I turn on the ignition. Is this right? Or should it recognise the phone if it's in 'Automatic' Mode???

2) I have experienced a lot of dropped calls. I'll be in the middle of a conversation and the kit just cuts the person off, the system beeps and the radio comes back on. Sometimes it just beeps then stays silent, no radio!!!! This sometimes happens only 2 seconds into a call too. I'll say 'Helllo.......' and the thing will cut me off!!! Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help and comments on these.

True, With Automatich mode on, the t68i wil only search for a
bluetooth device when there's an incoming or outgoing call.
I've set my bluetooth option always on.

Thanks for your help.

On part 2 however..........Is it true that the kit will hang up mid conversation if I actually say the Hang Up command word?

i.e. My hang up word is 'Divert'. So if I'm chatting to someone and I inadvertantly say 'Divert' at any time throughout the conversation the CK3000 will pick up on that word and hang up on that call?

And.......Does this also apply to the Answer/Voice Dial command word? If I say that word mid conversation will the CK3000 hang up on the curent caller and initiate a new call?

Thanks again for your ongoing help with this.

U don't even have to inadvertantly say 'Divert'. I used "magic word" with my car HF (non-BT) and used to see phone reacting after saying something not even close to defined command. Suggest u to change "divert" to sth much much longer.

I am not sure how people on the forum are getting on with there parrot, but I have had nothing but grief with mine.

I read all the forums pre-order, and was happy it was going to work with my T68i and my company issue Nokia 6310i. This seemed like a great solution, I could use it during the week for business, and take personal calls at the weekend in the car.

So in Decemeber I placed an order with Expansys, making sure I noted that I needed the latest 2.4 firmware for my T68 (fw R6A012).

This is where it goes downhill, to summarise:
- Expansys ship old unit with 2.32
- Ericsson will not pair or see car kit
- after full reset on the Ericsson get it to pair
- intermittent operation with T68 and parrot
- expansys apologies for mistake and sya to contact parrot for upgrade
- parrot say that expansys will do the upgrade and have th kit
- expansys say they have no kit and parrot has not sent any
- parrot say I can have a cable to make my £180 car kit work, but I have to pay 56 Euro's
- expansys say (a month ago) that they are getting cables from parrot and will call next week to send/sell me one
- just called expansys, they say, parrot are only sending them the "magic" bluetooth upgrade kit (the one with the second parrot to act as BT sender) and they are not getting cables.

So what am I left with, a Parrot that will not work (holding back on the dead Parrot jokes), a supplier that does not want to know, a manufacturer that just seems to not care about there customers at all, and a deal that is in complete violation of UK trading laws in my opinion!

I am sure its a good kit really, but has ANYONE got the parrot to work with a late T68i? I read that even with the mysetic 2.4 firmware word spotting, caller announce and all the other features expansys list on their webpage for the parrot will not work!

On top of this Expansys have also dropped the price by £50 from £180 to £130. So not only do I have a car kit that does not work, and was falsly advertised, but I payed too much for it!

I was prepared for teething problems with a BT car kit, but when the manufacturer does not care, and the distributers are this lethargic (and to be fair also have problems getting response from Parrot) then what hope does Parrot have of pushing BT car kits. I can only guess the problems that the major motor manufacturer who just OEM'd the unit is about to face!

Hmm, went of on a bit of a rant there, question I wanted to ask was:

- Has anyone ever got the upgrade cable from Parrot?

They seem to be mythical, all the news posts I have seen from people who ordered them say they have yet to receive them from Parrot.
