> legal action to get SE to LISTEN
Bookmark topic
I think it is time we stop being the victims and take matters into our own hands. It is obvious SE does not give a rats booty hole about the Satio community, they "literally" left us naked in the dark alley to get raped but I'm going to take no more of this. There are enough of us to make a clear statement to SE, there have been people who have gotten reimbursements from SE because of this failure we call the Satio (freezing and the such). I believe most of us can get in on this action because we genuinely have failed mobile phones. Promises promises SE, I promise you won't get away with this.
For most of us our 1 year warranty should be up soon, after it passes, chances of taking any action will decrease.
Those who are interested in getting their money back, please check into this thread, post your email in this thread if possible or just PM it to me if you're afraid of your email getting out. I'm going to compile a long list of people and talk to legal counsel to see what our options are.
If you think SE is an angel sent from heaven and that no bad can come out of the company, please hold your tongue, we've heard enough from you, we wished we had oh-so-perfect phones like you but we don't, please exit the thread, thanks!

while I disagree with the statement in your last paragraph, you might consider setting up a
petition online.
There have been many such petitions here since the days of the T68 but I'm not sure that any one of those has had any direct impact, umfortunately

I agree with you, petitions don't do anything , legal counsel-however, can go a long ways.

Unless you have lots of funding behind you taking on a company in court like SE would be a very expensive thing to do.
I know because i once took a high street well known name to court over something, which although i had help financially, if i had lost it could have cost me thousands. If you dont like your Satio, sell it for something better.

SE have shot themselves in both feet, I have been a loyal customer for years and I'm quite frankly pissed off with their ignorance, I will never buy an SE device again, although my satio performs to a point there are big failings in the UI that they should/could have done something about but instead decided to move on and leave it with a group of very unhappy customers, we can moan and groan about our devices not doing this and that but there are some simple things in my opinion are downright failures and SE have chosen to ignore it and move on, bye bye SE....hello Nokia
they have pioneered the mobile market for years with many firsts for the rest to follow but they must listen to customers and follow up with some basically simple stuff and a few updates to address the short comings

Err what'all this fuss about the Satio? Is it THAT bad? Appart from the occasional audio hitch in the music player, I haven't really had any major annoyances.
Certainly nothing to go to court about.

for me just a few little niggly things they could have spent a little more development time to make it right, I don't have any real problems with mine either, an e.g. of this would be the music play being able to select a minimum file size like I had on my P1i, it is very annoying when on random play it picks up ring tones

Monaco,
I completely understand your concerns, and I also share a lot of your thoughts.
Nevertheless, I guess that the best we can do is leave it to its own future. SE is not that innovative company anymore.
They expect long term loyalty, but cannot afford to provide even short term support for flagship devices that were released less than an year ago.
They´re sailing in a sinking boat.
Which Satio owner of today will ever trust SE again? Not me, that´s for sure.
