Hi everybody, I just bought a SE W995 and I have a problem when playing songs with it. when I transfer musics from my PC to the phone most of the songs dont play, it just says "failed" and some of them only plays for a minute than says the same thing "failed". Sometime it plays 2-3 different song in the same file ! I dont know if the problem is technical or I need some tips how to repair it.

Hi kezi, and welcome to Esato... we're going to need a bit more information about several things:

Which firmware are you running?
(Go to menu, settings, general, update service, software version, and tell us what it says...

Which program are you using to transfer the songs? (SE PC Suite, Windows Explorer...)

Which format are you uploading to the phone? (MP3, WMA, AAC)... the bitrate could also help...

Hi Lightspeed_x, my firmware is 1215-7995 R1HA035 091210, I guess that the problem has to do with the updates because since I've updated it, my phone isnt the same. The format of my songs is mp3, and I dont think it has to do with the format because some of the songs are working at first but after a minute it says "failed". I've just bought a memory card and possibly that may be the problem too.

Thanks for the information. Im running the same firmware with no issues.

Do you have another device to test a couple of the files?, alternatively, you could transfer some files to a friend via bluetooth and see if the same problem occurs.

Could be faulty memory card or when you bought it did you format the memory card first? If not that can also cause problems to which I have had before

@ Lightspeed - I've transfered files via bluetooth but the same problem again, probably its the memory card what is causing those problems, and the worst thing is that the M2 wont get out, its blocked so I guess I must send my phone to the service.
@ Bonovox - probably that can be the problem because I've just bought the memory card.
Anyway thanks a lot for your replies guys, really appreciated it.

I see... You could copy two or three files from the pc to the phone memory and see if the problem persists, however, it seems its the memory card....

Well before my w995 was recently stolen I had the same firmware & it's rock solid. I was thinking back to when I forgot to format a new memory card on a c510 & after 12 seconds video recording would stop on high quality setting. I think it could be your problem. Good luck
