> W995 Firmware help?
Bookmark topic
Hi,
I updated the W995 firmware yesterday using SEUS. After update firmware is R1HA035
But according to the forums on this site the latest is R1HA036
why didnt i get the latest?
Also after update i turned my phone on and I got the long please wait message. During this message I got a pop up message for Daylight savings update and i selected yes then back to the please wait message. Then phone started normal.
did the pop message effect the firmware installation and shall i reinstall firmware or is everything ok?
thanks,

Hi. Yes, R1HA035 comes after R1HA036 and is the latest firmware so no worries there. It always takes time for the first booting up after an update which is normal and you'll see a funny looking blue-green theme first before the default W995 theme is applied. If the phone works fine then there's no need to update

Your phone is fine. That popup didn't distort anything. I never had a W995 but I think *036 is a branded version of *035
Good for you.
Edit. Thanks Mode.

Hi, as mode said, the latest version is 035, SE rolled out 036 and went back to 035 in a few weeks (no clue as to why, though).
Everything should be fine and you shouldnt need to reinstall...
Hihihans is right about the first boot up as well.
Enjoy the phone!

All Sony Ericsson mobiles have that first long boot up upon updating or when first purchased

Hey, sorry to be annoying but I cannot figure this out. I just want to debrand my W995. Could someone point me in the right direction as to where to start? I've downloaded the A2 tool and I have instructions but they require to to have firmware files and i dunno where to find them. This is so confusing! Thanks, and once again, sorry about my n00bishness!

I have no experience using the A2 tool but I have debranded many SE phones using wotanserver. Go to wotanserver.com and download their client and follow instructions. Costs you 7 euro but it`s worth it and it is very easy

@bery_451 R1HA035 is the latest generic firmware for W995.
Your phone is up-do-date and normal and everything is OK
