Hey,
I just want to know which is the best value bluetooth handsfree kit I can get in the UK - I want to use it in my car. And also does it place much extra strain on the battery? My battery was great for about two months - lasted days and days often a week with low use, but lately it has gone to s*** and now I only get a couple of days at most.
Thanks

Obviously Bluetooth will use more power from your battery, but not a huge amount (although it depends on how much you actually talk or standby. It' won't halve the battery life, but it will take a few hours off.
Bluetooth headsets (look on eBay, CPW, Expansys etc, or do a Google search) can be as cheap as under UK£50 for those that use a wire to your ear (connected to a clip-on Bluetooth unit)., proper headsets start from under UK£70 up to a couple of hundred. Again, look around.

JAMES > Sonyericsson/Ericsson phones have different bluetooth-modes, meaning what functionality the unit will have.
ON > Always connected to headset,..and voice-functionality works.
drains battery.
AUTOMATIC >the headset will hook-up to the phone when necessary, but no voice-dialling and so on. You can dial up, and sound will transfer to headset,..and you can recive calls normally in the headset.
Does NOT drain battery at all.
OFF > No bluetooth-connectivity at all
I usually have my P800 set to AUTOMATIC,..as I dont really use voice-functions.
If its in the car, its nice to have mode set to ON,..then you dont need to pull out the phone.
Regards
Jan
