hey all i am experiencing decrease in speed of my wireless connection but the strength is excellent and i read many threads regarding this and they all said is about the same channels working in the same location and because of cordless phones other wireless networks. somebody would help me how to reconfigure my modem and change its channel .

yea i calld thm . bt thy r saying me to switch of the modem for 10min and switch it back ..... yeah and it works for some time and it again decreases speed ...... i have registered for 8 mbbs and i hav downloading speed around 1mbs when it starts decreasing the download rate shows 200kbbs or less than tht or it sops for hours ......... :s

hey i think this nothing about the ISP ... this is about the environment i am using my wireless... i need to know more about the environment consequences for interrupting a connection. that is why i am here

You should type something like this 192.168.1.1 into your pc browser, and it should be a remote login to your router. You will then login using your login and password, and in here you should be able to change your channel.

It has everything to do with the ISP, if they provide the equiptment they should be providing support too.
