I bought my daughter a ipod station for her bedroom a couple of years ago, and all was great. Her ipod was docked on there, and she could play all her music etc. I have since purchased her a new Ipod Touch 4G for christmas, and too find that charging is not supported on her device.
Why do Apple change things part way through their series. We also have a wall charger which charged up mine and her ipod nano's fine, but the same with the wall charger, it says charging not supported on this device.

personally I prefer the fact that my ipod speakers don't charge my iphone 4 as it buggers up the battery charging it all the time when it doesn't need to be charged, however I see where you're coming from. I recon it's to make more money. My in car charger chares my 3G nano but not iphone 4, so I have to buy another.

Ha Ha. I gather its to make more money, but it just pisses me off. Have seen that it has affected tons of people and not just me.

Why else? And it's not like Apple products are overpriced as it is. £189 for the iPod touch? :/
