Hey, I've had by K850i for almost 3 years and am happy with it. But back then I remember thinking how stylish Sony Ericsson phones were, and that's what attracted to them to me over other brands. You look at old SE phones and they just look...right. Like SE phones should look like. But today's portfolio of mostly smartphones, have changed the look. I don't know what it is really, but take the X10 it looks okay, but the three silver buttons just don't look right, but they've continued this look into the 2011 folio as well. You could argue that with touch screen phones without a keypad, you're going to get a different looking phone. But then take the satio, now that looked like an SE phone. Maybe its the curves something. Today however it has completely changed, and now looking to upgrade my phone to an Android smartphone I want to stick with SE but I just don't find them as attractive as the old SE phones.

Does anyone else share this idea with me? Or is it just me being weird.

thanks!

I love the old classic Sony Ericsson phones with their unique designs and recognizable look. I still want to see some of them phones again. But times change and people demand touch screens and see phones with a key pad as old skool now. Designs change as a result but with Sony Ericsson their phones tend to still imo have a unique design of their own that you can easily recognise. They always seem to look different from other brands even their touch screen phones seem to look special in design compared to the same old look of touch screen phones coming from Samsung for example.

i have to dissagree with this one, people still love phones with keypad, see Elm / Hazel for example,it still sells alot,it's the phone maker that make the condition so we don't have any choice and had to follow TS phones trend.
IMHO

I hate full touch phones.
most people like phone that solid and rugged design suitable for rough use.

Don't get me wrong I still want and love the older keypad type phones and the k800i to date is the longest time I kept one phone. Yes there is still people who want keypad not touch screen or maybe a combination of both. But they seem to be a minority now. I was in a phone store recently and I heard some woman say no I don't want that one its old skool and she was refering to a keypad mobile. Times have changed and with high speed internet and high quality cameras with multi media phones with keypads and small screens no longer cut it for the future of what the technology can do. Viewing internet or pics on a tiny screen is no longer fun. Saying all this I still wish to see Sony Ericsson still make some of their traditional phones which I think we all on here look back on with fond memories. Maybe a combination of keys and touch like a new Aino would be good with their traditional OS.
