This is for anyone who has problems unplugging their phone or external hds/usbs
and the app is free.

1. Download Unlocker v1.8.5 from
'downloading page'

2. Follow this simple guide ☺
"
If you try to unplug your USB drive, you may have a chance of getting “The device ‘Generic volume’ cannot be stopped right now .Try stopping the device again later” warning. This warning can be irritating.

Why am I getting this waning or error?

You are getting this error because the programs you open from your USB drive still running in background or Antivirus in your computer still monitoring your USB drive .

generic volume cannot be stopped right now

What I have to do now to avoid this warning ?

1.Try to close all the programs you open from your USB drive and then try stopping your USB drive.

2.The best way to fix this warning is to use Unlocker

Right click in USB drive in My Computer and select Unlocker ,unlokcer can show you which files or programs still using the memory ,kill those processes and unplug your USB drive."

Another cause of the warning message:
You have saved a file directly to your flash disk and that program is still open and the directory in the "Save as.." function is still the flash disk.
Example:
You are using Excel and you've saved a file by clicking File>>Save as>>(browsed to flash disk directory)>>saved the file.
When you try to safely remove the flash disk, you will receive the warning message.

Solution:
You close Excel (and all excel files in the process) - very annoying especially if you are currently working on several workbooks.
OR
Just click File>>Save as..>>(browse to another location)>>cancel

Try to remove the flash disk.
That's what I do when I get that message..

I hope I've helped..
