I have the W995, and when I play some music from memory card, then turn it off, a few days later when I want to play again, it resumes where I left off...................great.
I also have my trusty K800i, which alas always defaults to the start of the music in my playlist, is there a cure for this. Your help most appreciated.

The K800 and W995 don't have the same media player. The W995 has the Walkman player V2 which features this.

cheers for the quick response.
Does that mean, my K800i will always default to the first song in that playlist.

Wait! My k790 resumes it from where I played the song even if I restart my phone. What's your firmware version?

Yup. Software is the same as firmware. And your version is the same as mine: R8BF003.

This is what I do. open my music/media click on playlist, scroll to the playlist I want popular music (100 songs), press play and woila plays from track one, so then I have to scroll to track 33 because thats where I left it 2 hours ago, is there any sub menus I should go into?, on W995 I could leave it for weeks and it always gives me the option to resume where I left off admittedly back to the beginning of that certain track.

tranced: I think I've solved it! I go to music player/playlist/scroll to which I want to play, Open, but before I press play, I click more, then "Now Playing" and then select, then play & hey presto where I left off lastnight. Once more thanks for help.
