Hi guys n girls,
Ive searched through hundereds of posts ref this problem, but there seems to be no answer!
I have a t68i and the right cable. Ive opened it and checked!
Windows XP will recognise the t68i cable modem, and I can even interrogate the modem and get a return from it.
However, no software recognises the phone as being attached!
Ive tried:
Sony Erricson image editor with the phone monitor software.
Also, t68i MA- handset manager, but everything says phone not connected.
As Ive said, XP sees the phone, but if I try to use it to dial through the cable and connect to the net, it then says modem not found!
How can it interrogate the modem and return a query, yet not see it for dial up or for changing ringtones/screens etc?
I have totally given up after 6 hours of trying everything!
As Ive said, it is the right type of cable cause I opened it to check, however, nothing sees my phone!
I realise that this is a well worn topic on this forum, but anyone got any ideas???
Im using a serial port, connected to either comm 1 or comm 2, but either port gives the same (lack) of results!!
Thank you in advance for any advice you may offer.
Andy

Do you have mobile phone monitor installed? Mpm is required for almost everything that has to do with sending/receiving from phone to pc.
And have you installed the modem drivers for cable? If you search for a thread named something like, software for t68, you'll find all the SW packs needed to connect your phone and pc.

Yes, I do have MPM installed as part of the ericsson software, but it doesnt see the phone.
Im kinda lost as to what to do next.
I dont know if buying a cable from erisson will cure this?
It seems the cable I have should work cause XP can interrogate it.

Oh I dont know!
Thanks anyway!

I dont know what kind of cable you're using . But it seems that service cable or data cable can not use the mobile phone as a modem .

Have you ever seen the R520 suit ? It contains a cable .
I've use it to connect T20 to my PC as a modem . Try to borrow it , and you could find whether you should buy a cable from Ericsson or not .
