Hi Guys!!

I think i'm gonna go insane! I cannot install any version of Xtndconnect no my pc. I can start to installation process...e.g. choosing the installation destination.... and i'm trying to install XTNDconnect for Ericsson (no purchase)....the install starts and finishes.....then a small box appears saying 'purchase'! The only thing i can do is click ok. Then the system starts uninstalling all the software!!

I'm currently running Windows XP Proffesional with SP-1 and have Outlook XP already installed..

I did read somewhere that this problem usually occurs when Outlook is not installed beforehand...but it is! I've tried to 'repair' the entire Office Suite but to no avail!

I'm sorry to be a bit repeptitive with this problem as i've seen lots of people have had it... but i'm yet to find a solution!

If anyone has any suggestions, i'd be delighted to hear from you!!

Thanks

Hello, same to me. I' close to kick that damn Epox Dongle and this Widcomm Software out of my window.

I'm very intersted in this problem too, whereas my bluetooth seems to be completly strange. first time I used the dongle my phone and PC could be paired, vcards were sent. but today I can not manage anything. No software is able to discover my phone and to establish a connection. is it normal that there is always a lan acces via bluetooth and a new connection in Windows in network is created by itself??
May it be possible that the dongle is used by a microsoft network service and is " busy", thus it can't be seen by the widcom software??

What happend?

I think i have come to a reasonable solution to my problem!!

This is what i did......

Firstly i downloaded an ES software package that does not contain the evil XTNDconnect software...

Details of these packages are in this thread

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=3497&forum=17#post31501

I downloaded package 2. Once installed all the software worked!

Then i downloaded package 5 with the dreaded XTNDConnect and ran it. The some thing happened again. The 'Purchase' box appeared and the software uninstalled.....Mobile manager did not install however as i installed it as part of package 2!

And to my delight XTNDConnect was still installed and ran perfectly!!

My only problem now is i cannot install the 'Text Message Manager for Outlook' from package 5 as it is installed after XTNDConnect for which the installaion is aborted.

If anyone has any idea how i can install Text Message Manager for Outlook sepeartly i would love to hear from you!

Sadly i'm not an expert in setting up bluetooth dongles. Mine (Gigabyte one) worked straight out of the box which was quite lucky for me.. All i did was download the newest drivers from the Gigabyte website. Have you got the latest drivers??

I thing it is normal that there is always a lan access via bluetooth and a new connection in Windows in network that is created by the install of the bluetooth adaptor.....well i have one anyway!

If your stuck on trying to setup the communication... i found this guide very helpful.

hope it helps
