I recently bought a w580i on ebay, and it came with 2 batteries. Now I am concerned that the batteries might be fake and will explode, Can someone tell me if they are or arent?

Battery #1

Battery #2

Hello and welcome!

This battery looks dead fake! I have withdrawn many times before from buying these after I take them in my hands and feel they're so lightweight.

I have two BST-38 battery here and they don't look like that. Will upload a few pics in a minute or so.

I wouldn't trust these. Sooner or later they'll die or could end worst.

Look at the serial number of the batteries you bought and the ones I have. Even the ones in the SE product page are different that yours.

These are the photos of my two BST-38's:

From left to right: Xperia X10 Mini Pro's BST-38. K770's BST-38.

Since the batteries are fake the phone is most likely fake too right? How can you tell?

I wouldn't say the phone is. But you can compare IMEI's. Press *#06# and check whether the IMEI shown in the screen is the same as the one in the back of the phone.

Dude , how come your 2 batteries share the same Serial Number ?

Probably fake right ? Besides If the seller gave you 2 batteries; something is definitely fishy with them
