Hey guys, recently I purchased LG kc910 renoir cause of xenon flash, and I am bit strugling with taking macros or closer objets while flash is ON. Thing is that whatever I do, objects tend to be overburnt by flash power.
Even if I choose sport mode which has lowest ISO setting and push EV to -2, pictures are always overexposed.
Any tips?

You can try to diffuse the flashlight by putting something on it-piece of white plastic cut from yoghurt box, piece of rice paper or some white half-transparent cloth. I've tried that and it works, you can control the flashlight power by adding more layers from the material-it works fine for me

Dont know about the LG, but if it is sony producing ghostly pic by flash, simple clean the light-sensor with tooth-pick. If your LG has light-sensor, try to clean it. It will work.

thanks for tips, and special thanks to CecoBizona cause he gave 100% correct answer. After experimenting a bit, i found out that double folded paper from cash register works best for me and it is always somewhere around .

Its a shame you cannot adjust flash intensity on phones like you can on normal cameras

Actually it's not the flash density to control, more like exposure time. I remember K800i didn't have problem with that, it could take macro pics with xenon pretty well.

I remember when I had the N8 whenever I took a close up of anything the flash would adjust accordingly or the exposure time. Cos I took an ugly shot of my brother close up & there was no over exposure see this photo

The detail & close up with the N8 Xenon flash has produced quality shot
