Hi.. I've had my W995 for about 2 years now and a problem has recently come up...

When I slide the phone up to unlock it, I have to be really quick to get past the line with the buttons "1, 2, 3" before the display lights up.
Why? Well, I slided my phone open in normal speed and it was just all dark... At first I thought the phone shut itself off, but after a closer look I could see that it was the display and keyboard lights that had went off...

And everytime I slide the phone over "1, 2, 3" all the lights go away... Then I have to wait for the phone to do it's "lights timeout" or what I should call it. I need to let it be until the lights would have gone out if the phone was OK, and after that "timeout" (15-20 sec) I can push a button and get the lights back.

Where is this problem coming from, and is there anything I can do to fix it except walking in to the phone store where I bought it to get it fixed?

Thanks in advance!

Try sliding it shut and opening it again.

For me, sometimes the keypad lights don't turn on but if I slide it shut and open it, they light up again.

It's worth a shot.

No, you see, it's a problem that occures every time i open my phone.. Everytime I slide over the 1,2,3-buttons all the lights go black. And I need to wait it out to be able to press a button to get the light back.

It's like the closure-sensor has been moved up to the 1,2,3-buttons instead of in the bottom where it should be....

Really boring, everything takes so long time when I have to wait 15-20 seconds to get the lights back on so I can see anything at all.

Someone on this forum must be familiar with this problem?
