> P800 on LAN
Bookmark topic
Getting a P800 soon and I wondered if it's possible to use a bluetooth LAN connection to conntect to the internet with my future P800, so I don't have to use dial-up but can use the DSL connection from my home LAN.

How to connect to your internet connection through Bluetooth on your P800:
1) Download this Java browser and install it on your P800
http://www.reqwireless.com/webviewer.html
2) Set up your bluetooth connection on your PC and P800. Make sure that the bluetooth
icon on your P800 shows that you're connected.
3) Open the reqwireless WebViewer while you're connected to bluetooth and, off you go
surfing the web for free. Normally when you use the WebViewer you should see a GPRS
icon at the bottom of your phone, but now you don't, which means you're surfing the
web through bluetooth and your PC's internet connection!

Is there a way to do it not just for web stuff, for all network access? e.g. if I want to test out the mail servers or remote SyncML but have it go over my LAN instead of Internet via GPRS.

Actually you don't have to download that browser. I use the one that comes with the p8.
