Well rooting is like having administrator acces on PC system, without root, Your just a normal user of the device. But what I know for sure, is that You don't need to root Your phone in order to install PowerAMP

no i have to root.. cause power amp is trial version n best music player out there for android and i downloaded its poweramp unloacker application too but it does'nt activates coz of license verification prob.. it just runs for 1 day n asks for internet ... after that it does'nt runs.. so rooting is important..

I read a article recently inwhich sony itself says "we're not against rooting if done properly"

i will overclock my device too.. recently i overclocked my HTC from 1 Ghz to 1.6 Ghz and its stable
