I know that there is a program to do this, but when tried it on my phone it failed to work as just got the error message, phone does not support this, so I started looking at the differences between a phone that did support it and on the didn’t.
I have now found a way that seems to work with nearly all phones I have tested it on, the process is a bit long winded but maybe can get it quicker once other people try it and let me know if it works or not.
Here are the following steps to add all 6 colours to the 7650
1) Install the PC suite that comes with the 7650, or download the latest version from Nokia’s web site.
2) Once installed make a backup of your phone using the software
3) You will find a file called “filestore.dat.txt” in the directory where you have backed up the files to, this by default is “c:\nokia\nokia 7650\backup”
4) Once you have found this file you can open it with notepad
5) When opened you need to look for the following line “C:\system\Shareddata\100058ec.ini” there will be a number at the beginning of the line, ie 110
6) Make a note of this number, now go to the directory where the dat files are, you will see they are numbered in the same way at the list in the text file
7) Now find the number you have made a note of, ie 110.dat

Open the file using notepad and add the following to the last entry in the file, “ColPals=0 1 2 3 4 5”
9) Once this is done save the file with the original name, ie 110.dat
10) When this is all done restore the phone from back up
11) Restart the phone, then check top see if you can change the colours on you phone from the normal 3 to now 6
If you get any problems please drop me a mail to
mike_buzz@hotmail.com also if you could let me know that it works and what software versions you are using

you have the normal colours on the phone which in my case are:
blue
green
purple
after going through this you should also have:
red
pink
orange
you can check by going in to setting, phone, display

Thx for the tip but.. I'm sad to say that it is not working on ver 3.16.
It shows up in Extended Profiles but not in org settings.
When I enable it in Eprofiler I cant open org settings at all..
But if I change it back in Eprofiles I can open Settings again..
I belive a upgrade to later software will fix it.. so Im giong to do that..
Cheers.. Carlis
