Photos of Sony Ericsson handsets are continuously leaking from the company. We have photos of both Xperia Nozomi and Xperia Nyphon
Esato News
Latest leak are with a couple of spy photos of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi Android smartphone. The Sony Ericsson brand will disappear in June 2012 where all phones will be branded by Sony and it looks like the specs of a rumored Sony Xperia Nyphon are more on level with what we are used to. The first two Nyphon images are concepts but the last one being held seems to be real. The specification seems real as well.Unidentified Sony Xperia Android smartphone (Nyphon LT22i)4 inch touch display 540 x 960 pixel resolution8 megapixel camera1 GH dual core U8500 ST-Ericsson processor1 GB RAM

If the posters are the right ones...then the one posting the sensor seem to be so special...the 'optical pass' inspire me to believe the best about camera performance...it seems to be very close to a very good macro shooter...i can say it's very similar to elm's pass and with a well done digital processing, he'll be the over the pop in the top...
God bless u Sony...make this xperia to be the best camera shooter this time...~_^

I cant stand how the Nozomi looks though, too square and that bit at the bottom looks like an unnecessary bit of extra bezel. Much prefer how the Arc looked in comparison.

Is the nozomi the licensed name "Ion"?!!
This design is. Dry nice iconic but with the led notifications I hope they do not go over the top!!

people are referring the nyphon as the "pregnant phone" but I'd say it's just a sexier version of Arc (more pronounced butt?)
I wonder how nyphon is pronounced, it couldn't be Nippon, besides the name does sound japanese but the letters suggest the otherwise (double consonants in japanese romanization only applies to those which can be pronounced distinctly, besides a vowel should not be replaced by a consonant)
With respect to everybody I wonder how is this phone special in some ways as i can't see any differentiating factor with other especially over the previous SEs. we've seen 12mp in the form of Satio 2 years ago so Nozomi's camera isn't anything special - its a downgrade actually! and that WhiteMagic display allegedly used by Nyphon is Sony's take on Sharps Quattro RGBY display tech, anyway who needs brighter whites on a display? (less contrast, less saturated colors) and i can't see this outperforming the Sharp Quattro on quality anytime

Doesn't matter, and I doubt Sony would care. Honestly the only modification I pray occurs before production is get rid of the separate HDMI port and use MicroUSB+MHL for the HDMI connections - 1 cable more of a portable device. Stop going the motorola route please?
