The rumour mill has been doing over time in the last couple of weeks with a new iPad expected to be released in the coming months but most fans of Apple products are more interested in the next generation iPhone.

The iPhone 4s was released as recently as October 2011 and despite Apple expected to announce a $37 billion profit on the first fiscal quarter of 2012, rumours are circulating that Apple will launch a new iPad 3 and possibly iPad 4 this year, as well as a new 5th generation iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5 has been a hot topic amongst technology journalists but nobody is any nearer to knowing the new design. We don’t have much more than leaked iPhone 5 cases that appeared online prior to the iPhone 4S launch, allegedly designed in China.

However, Italian designer Antonio De Rosa has created this amazing iPhone SJ design, which he states is inspired by Steve Jobs.

Using his own tagline he states "Totally glass capacitive screen on a polycarbonate lightweight body. New design inspired by Steve Jobs, new core with A6 dual core processor, new camera 10 Mpx. A classic reinvented. Again."

What inspired Antonio to design this phone? "I've developed many concepts with Apple in mind. Try to think to iWatch, launched in May 2010, months before iPod 6th generation, or the launch of the iBox, my personal vision of iTV or the iCam, a DSLR Camera with an iPhone ad brain. I thought [lets] give [the] iPhone [a] new design, simple and clean, as preferred by Steve Jobs... [the] Apple logo in front panel is the only break signal..a discontinuity with previous [the] line. Now many smartphones are similar and Apple need to show its brand just in front face", he said.

So will Apple follow his design? "I don't think Apple can follow design of any users because they have John Ive", he says.

There have been many commemoration to Steve Jobs, but Antonio says this is "Just a tribute to my mith...nothing more. Maybe he can see this now by your personal Paradise".

It is indeed a nice concept I can only hope Apple will perhaps go for this look
oh and ditch the Square buttons for the round and get rid of that Apple logo on front

Not feeling it - it's basically a squished iPhone 4/4S with the logo in the wrong place, and square buttons, neither of which look as good as the original! And what's this nonsense about there being an iPad 3 and an iPad 4 all released this year? Why on earth would they do that?!

It's not rocket science, yes there will be an iPhone 5 launched some time between July and October, no it won't look like this - it's bound to be a big shift away from the 4x design just like the 4 was to the 3G/S.

Not that I care, but a lot of people are talking about the iPhone 5. Surely the 4s IS the 5 and so the next one will be the iPhone 6??

I understand you're dislike against Apple but even you can surely see the nonsense in that?

btw, was 3GS = 4... I don't think so!

Honestly, have you anti-Apple people got nothing better to do than post rubbish against Apples naming policy? On one hand you all said that the 4S was just a minor upgrade of the 4, and then later you now try and say that the 4S is actually a 5 and the next should be 6!!!

@Bono, this is clearly a mock up/joke/design exercise etc and nothing real, but yet (not surprisingly) you can already find arguments to put it down!

its mainly the topics on the Court cases that people on this forum
seem to get offended at and use this rage against all the Apple topics
if they can

Btw as I know Apple tend to go yearly with a X then a XS
I cannot say they will jump to a 6?

They are celebrating a 5 year Birthday of the iPhone and the iOS is 5.1 which im
assuming is coming soon anytime soon not that myphone needs it
it works alot better then past experiences of other phones

I doubt they'll jump from 4S to 6. I do remember Psion going from 3 series to 5 as 4 is unlucky in china, but I'm not sure where 5 might be unlucky

5.1 is in beta 3 and is mostly based around speech recognition improvements in a much wider scope that the initial Siri implementation in 4S (in regards to developer API's)

btw, I'd be quite happy for the designs shown here to be reality and they would probably be well accepted by the late Mr Jobs methinks.

Um, despite my hate for Apple I actually wasn't saying anything bad against them in my last post... it's like you want to continue this argument! I was just making a point that in my mind the next iPhone would be the number 6 because it is the sixth generation iPhone

1 - iPhone
2 - iPhone 3g
3 - iPhone 3gs
4 - iPhone 4
5 - iPhone 4s
6 - iPhone 6!

Going my your logic the iPhone 4 should have been the iPhone 3 because the 3gs was just a 'minor upgrade' of the 3g...
