Polaroid has announced the SC1630 Smart Camera which is a 16 megapixel sensor camera powered by Android.But is it also a phone?The SC1630 features a 3X optical zoom, a 3.2-inch touchscree(800 x 480), automatic face and smile detection, red-eye removal, color correction and geo-tagging of images. The SC1630 packs a touchscreen display and Wi-Fi connectivity which allow you to easily upload your photos with a single button. They are better known for their instant cameras which were pretty good to be honest and were around long before digital photography was even invented i guess this is their way of coming into the 21st century and this doesn't seem too shabby either since none of the big players have combined a proper digital camera into a smart phone device.

Yes the instant ones were good but their digital ones are awful and this thing is fugly as hell. I never want an optical zoom sticking out my phone

It doesn't stick out it retracts like in a normal optical zoom camera.
