> I just got Plagued by a Virus

Hi All,
I want to warn you about what happened to me this evening
if you are planning on downloading anything mp3's etc tread anywhere with caution!
as I myself did this and was prone upon a stressful incident tonight
the Virus Locks you out of your PC
and comes up with a Page to the Police
saying you have committed a crime looking at obscene photo's of children
and below theres a £100 fee to unlock your pc
your pc just cannot communicate with what you want it to do
it keeps loading the page up but mess about and you can get into recovery settings
im prob gunna put pc back into factory state tomorrow cause
this virus has spooked the hell outta me I actually called the Police and told them about this aswell
so they actually know of it and they don't seem to happy either
so people this is a advice post really be careful

yeah happened to me too.
it came up with some scottish police, then i researched and it was on bbc news.
all a scam.
lol it did scare the shite out of me too
but i was defintely not gonna pay no b*****d.

On it it had email addresses to South Staffordshire
Police as well I actually rang them up trembling lol
It is one scary virus
I'm looking at spending cash
On a external hard drive to backup
All my content on so I can restore the
Pc back to factory I'm not logging in anywhere
On it in meantime I have my notebook
So that's a plus

I haven't had a virus since I got Stoned back when I had a PC-AT (a 286 processor with 1mb ram!).
Nortons protects well in my experience.

I have ever had I had others but
