In a news brief, Dutch Police are crediting an iPhone for saving the life of a Rotterdam man after he was attacked by gunmen.

I must resist making crap Apple jokes like consider the possibility of the reason he was getting robbed was FOR his iPhone !?

and..

Maybe the Ministry of Defence could make armor for our troops made from iPhones stitched together. Scrap that, their budget isnt that much !

A good end all in all then.

Lol, it wasn't an attempt to rob him though, they apparently wanted to kill him, it was a hit-and-run attack, he was driving in his van, the attackers drove by in their car, shot several times, and drove away. He might have had some unfinished business with them, police are still investigating

tbh I don't think it had much of a choice in the matter, it was more of a wrong place, wrong time for the phone. Seeing as its a product of Apple, I'm guessing that its a selfish and self centred device. Thus if it had the choice it would have not taken the bullet for its owner..

And actually wasn't this 'revolutionary' design built with glass that is "strong and comparable to sapphire crystal" So I would have expected the phone to actually stop the bullet from passing through...oh wait that's all crap
